The Health in Construction Leadership Group are hosting a twitter chat on January 27th to discuss tackling ill health in the industry.

We want to hear from small contractors, sole traders, and self-employed workers about the issues you face in your workplace, how you tackle health risks and what kind of support you would find useful?

Perhaps you also have a success story or best practice you can share? Or, are there particular dangers to your health, or challenges to the way you work from health hazards that you would like some advice on?

An expert panel of leading figures on health in construction will be available to answer your questions.

Ill-health in the industry accounts for over 40% of occupational cancer deaths and cancer registrations, the largest burden of occupational cancer amongst the industrial sectors. Around 1.8 million working days lost due to ill health  We all need to work together to protect the future health of our workers.

Join us at 11am on January 27th at the hashtag #healthchat to discuss and share your thoughts. You can also pose your questions in advance to #healthchat
