Charitable Donation Support for Mates In Mind

With the support of the British Safety Council (BSC), The Health in Construction Leadership Group (HCLG) has established a new charitable organisation to develop and implement a mental health and wellbeing programme for UK construction. Mates in Mind has been registered as a charitable organisation and has secured initial funding for the development of the programme, including marketing and materials, from BSC. The charity now requires charitable contribution to move the programme into the start-up implementation phase. Mates in Mind was launched at the Health in Construction summit on 26thJanuary 2017. MIND, Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England and the Samaritans are amongst the partners involved in the delivery of this. The programme has ambitious targets and is aligned to the government’s Construction 2025 timescales. The programme will touch close to 75% of the UK construction population by 2025 and 100,000 in the first year. There has been significant interest in the uptake for Mates in Mind both at the launch and following it, and we now need to make this a reality. Your support is requested through a charitable donation to continue this essential work for the industry. Together we will make the difference. To pledge a donation to Mates in Mind, please email Michael Whitmore on support@matesinmind.org or use the donate button at www.matesinmind.org.
